Before you join
Beta software can have bugs, interruptions and changing features. Keep your own copies of important files and start with non-critical projects. Windows and Mac, portable sign-ins and managed backup recovery are not available. Support is by email; there is no 24/7 support or uptime guarantee.

Can an AI agent keep working when my laptop is closed?
Yes, when the work runs on another computer or a supported cloud service that stays online. A remote-control app alone does not move a local process into the cloud. Agents can still pause for permissions, errors, or usage limits. Read the overnight workflow guide.
Is Spare Computer the same as a VPS?
It is being built around a Linux cloud computer with a simpler task and access interface. A DIY VPS can be a good choice if you want to administer the environment yourself. Compare the setup, operating responsibilities, and costs.
Do I need my own AI subscription?
Third-party tools use your own eligible accounts or API access. Included SC AI and selectable models are being tested in dev; a production allowance is not set. Free software does not mean unlimited model usage.
Can I start a paid computer today?
Not yet. You can request beta access and explore the previews. Checkout is closed while we verify setup, task execution, and recovery. Windows and Mac are not available.
